Socrates didn't write anything down, so his student Plato is reported to have quoted Socrates, "The unexamined life is not worth living". Although he never claimed to have an answer to the question, he spent his days at the agora asking people why they lived the lives they do. This annoyed and then infuriated people who, eventually caused his arrest, trial, and death sentence. Most drivers don't exam their own driving. If they do, it may be after an incident of some kind like a near-hit, traffic infringement of crash. There's no need to wait until after an incident to examine your own performance as a driver. On an authentic, one-day Low Risk Driving Course, you will learn the skills necessary to provide yourself with immediate feedback on your driving behaviour and your thinking style; before a crash. AuthorMy dear colleagues in road safety, please take 'more than average' care during this awful COVID pandemic. Try applying Low Risk behaviours in other areas of you life. If you find yourself taking risks, ask your self, "How was I thinking at the time?". Was I "externalising", or was I thinking, "It won't happen to me"? We look forward to seeing you on the other side of this. Thanks for your continued support. Jeremy Archives
