Tyres - Often Forgotten - Free Gifts

Tyres - Often Forgotten - Free Gifts

There's good evidence to suggest that unqualified people should not tackle mechanical maintenance and service of their vehicle. Indeed, many systems on your car, van or motorbike are no longer 'user serviceable'.

We would agree. Unless you're qualified, and in some cases certified, it's best to leave vehicle maintenance to the experts.

One area however that needs at least a regular visual inspection, is the condition, tread wear and pressure of your tyres, including the spare (if you have one). This is a safety imperative. Tyres can deflate, excessively wear, or suffer damage, long before scheduled service intervals.

The tyres on your car perform three important functions. They carry the load, act as part of the suspension, and enable grip for acceleration, braking and steering. These functions should not be compromised if you seek optimal safety.

On our one-day Low Risk Driving Course we spend just enough time, not too much, to ensure you know how to optimise the safety, long-life and economy of your tyres. We also cover tyre pressures in a little more detail on our half-day Ecodrive program.

Free Gift. Every participant on our one-day Low Risk Driving Course during September, October and November this year will receive a free tyre pressure gauge and a set of metal valve caps with a retail value of around $35.00 (AUD). We can also supply a free Fact Sheet often used as a discussion starter at morning Toolbox Talks.

My dear colleagues in road safety, please take 'more than average' care during this awful COVID pandemic. Try applying Low Risk behaviours in other areas of you life. If you find yourself taking risks, ask your self, "How was I thinking at the time?". Was I "externalising", or was I thinking, "It won't happen to me"? We look forward to seeing you on the other side of this. Thanks for your continued support. Jeremy
